Stage Presence Dance and Performing Arts Studio, previously known as Lou-na Performers and Miranda Kalgovas Ballet School, has been operating for 35 years. The school has two studios at St Margaret's Uniting Church in Mooroolbark, Victoria, both equipped with fully sprung floors and mounted ballet Barres. Our school has a long legacy in classical ballet and currently has 4 fully qualified teachers of the Cecchetti method. We have fed many dancers into the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary and Tertiary courses as well as The Australian Ballet and we take great pride in our student’s high exam results. In the past 12 years we have opened our doors to other genres of performing arts including Jazz and Tap, Funk, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Singing and also offer examinations in Jazz and Tap. Our Aims To create and nurture a love of dance and all performing arts. To create an encouraging, creative, safe and fun environment for students and parents to feel at home in. To build and nurture self-discipline, confidence and self-esteem, as well as to develop the students cognitive and motor skills. To provide quality training for a career in the industry. To provide a fun fitness activity for children, teenagers and adults that will help to maintain a healthy lifestyle and fight childhood obesity. To instill the importance of punctuality, reliability and responsibility into students. To make every student feel successful by creating achievable goals and performance opportunities, such as exams, concerts, demonstrations and competitions. To provide a safe social arena for children and teenagers, with activities to build life long friendships. To give every student the opportunity to experience the magic of the arts.
